In Taiwan, he was once a famous figure of "prestige".

From fighting to joining gangland Gang, stealing, robbery, blackmail, blackmail, opening casinos, calling girls station and so on.

He once owned 6 famous brand pistols in the United States and Italy, or even a few sniper rifles on the black road.

He was wanted by the police for a reward of NT $300 thousand. He was in prison at the age of 19 and sat until he was 26 years old.

There are more than 30 prisons in Taiwan. He has stayed in 14 places, including the famous green island prison on the east coast of Taiwan.

Because of repeated escaping and being arrested, the prison had to take special measures against him.

For a long time, he was always in chains and could not move.

Sometimes, the prison man had three pairs of fetters weighing 12 kilograms at the same time on his ankle.

Before and after Christmas in 1975, he received a letter from a college girl who was serving sentences at Green Island.

After reading the letter, he knew that he was writing to a high school classmate's sister.

It is no doubt a pleasure for prisoners to receive letters, because at least it shows that there are people in the world who are concerned about him.

And letters from a girl's hand, will give people more imagination, at least, will satisfy the vanity of the recipient.

Anyway, being in prison was idle, and he answered her letter.

What he himself did not expect at the beginning was that this became the beginning of a great deal of communication between them.

In fact, the girl is because his brother has been given some kind of benefits, in order to repay him, and in order to try to save a rotten heart, she has been insisting on writing to him.

But he was a piece of rotten wood that could not be carved. After receiving more than 10 letters from the girl, he escaped from prison again.

Of course, the result is nothing more than being caught again.

He thought the girl would never talk to him again, but he was wrong.

Since then, the letters of the girl have been unmoved.

In her letter, she once said, "I am in heaven on earth, but you are a villain who has no intention of doing evil even when the whole world is tired of it.

If you do not regard your sins as dirt, we will be enemies of different worlds.

She also asked, "clothes are dirty and washed with soap. What is the soul of a human being filthy? What needs to be cleansed?"

Slowly, a wild and unruly heart was affected.

When he received 250th letters from the girl, he finally called it "the letter from heaven".

At that moment, he saw the sunshine of his heart.

Then he realized that he was physically imprisoned and mentally unable to go to prison. When he was in prison, his mind broke through the shackles.

After her continued letters and encouragement, he was able to learn oral English from the other side with the help of two American criminals. He kept reciting the English words in a confined room. He asked the prison to help him find various kinds of books to satisfy his thirst for reading. He volunteered to help the prison to carry out ideological guidance to other prisoners, so that there was an unprecedented new order inside the prison.

In November 19, 1979, he changed into a clean suit and walked out of prison gate for the first time.

Beside him was a sail bag, containing only 500 letters she wrote to him.

On the plane to Taipei, he burst into tears between the clear blue sky and the white clouds.

She was the only one who met him at Taipei airport.

Before long, he married her.

He went to the United States to study.

After several years that he had to go through, he received two degrees from American doctorate in education and doctor of divinity.

In 2004, he set his sights on the mainland and invested in the long awaited Peking University, making progress toward his third degree goal, Ph.D., Peking University.

His complete autobiography, from the prisoner to the doctor's legendary life, has been officially published.

At present, the right of film adaptation of this book has been bought by a film company of Hollywood in the United States.

He wrote in the book, "I have put away the knife for killing, but I have played another knife. I hope to be a scalpel for the children who are guilty of wrong."

"It should be early in the day, and the shore is the shore of the prodigal son," he added. "The first half of life is not good, it has nothing to do with the second half.

Because it can drill into a person's heart and mind, and is enough to make this man's thoughts break through all shackles.
