A 21 year old senior student, who has been employed by TopCoder as vice president of Asia, has started her job in an office building in the North Third Ring Road. Her annual salary is above 500 thousand.

She is Wu Yingying, a senior undergraduate of psychology College of Beijing Normal University.

Before she took office in TopCoder, she refused many famous companies such as Microsoft and YAHOO.

The opportunity for her is due to her outstanding performance: she has created 100 inventions and won 3 national patents.

She is a member of the American computer association and the American Psychological Association. The visiting student of Stanford University has won the 2006 China Science and technology innovation talent award, and won the first prize of the National Mathematical Modeling Contest in Beijing in 2005.

Positive and tough is the first feeling journalists have for her.

Yesterday, the reporter met Wu Yingying at Beijing Normal University.

As a student who is still studying now, Wu Yingying is divided into two halves - every Monday she attends all classes in school, and from Tuesday to Saturday, she works full-time at TopCoder company and works 16 hours a day.

To relax, she bought herself a small chrysanthemum every week and inserted it in the small vase of the office.

Wu Yingying's first invention was the completion of her first year in primary school.

"I see Grandpa watering the flowers every day. I feel very troublesome. I want to give him a good idea."

She made a small invention of "self absorbing flower plate".

"I prefer to observe life. I always want to change those deficiencies in my life. These are the sources of invention."

Despite the success of the annual salary of more than 500 thousand, Wu Yingying admitted that his highest pursuit is academic.

With my expertise in psychology and computer technology, I hope to study interdisciplinary subjects, such as neural networks, artificial intelligence and so on.
