On the same day, the Hubei team won the gold medal in the Eighth National Minority Traditional Sports Games, the men's 60 meter race in the board shoes competition. The team won 10 seconds 30.

Shoe racing is popular among the ethnic minorities in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. For the first time in the National Games, Hubei has become the gold medalist in the first shoe competition.
