Entrusted by the National Standardization Management Committee, China Cotton Association cotton processing branch, China Fiber Inspection Bureau, Ministry of railways, Transportation Bureau, Zhengzhou commodity exchange, China cotton industrial limited liability company, Beijing Zhongmian machinery complete equipment Co., Ltd., China national supply and marketing co operation corporation, Zhengzhou cotton and hemp Engineering Technology Design Institute, Nantong Cotton Machinery Co., Ltd., Nantong Yufeng plastic steel packaging Co., Ltd. and many experts and technicians of cotton enterprises in China have completed the revision. The GB 6975-2007 cotton packaging standard will be formally implemented in April 1, 2008.

The basic idea of the revision of the "cotton packaging" standard is to complete the revision work according to the requirements of the reform plan for cotton quality inspection system and the actual situation of cotton processing in China at the same time, with reference to international standards and the advanced standards of major cotton producing countries in the world.

The main revision of the new standard GB 6975-2007 compared with GB/T 6975-2001 is as follows:

1. the package size has been revised to increase the allowable deviation.

2. modify the technical requirements of cotton fabric packaging.

3. plastic packaging bags and plastic strapping belts are added, and relevant technical requirements are stipulated.

4. modified the number of strapping roots.

5., the package packaging method has been increased, and the relevant technical requirements have been stipulated.

6. stipulates the contents of cotton bags marked by batch inspection and by package inspection.
