Shenzhen Textile Industry Association recently revealed that in 2007, Shenzhen's home textile, underwear, non-woven fabrics and other industries achieved a significant increase in 30%-50% value.

The textile industry in Shenzhen has been upgrading its industrial structure more than 10 years ago. At present, 600 textile enterprises in the whole city are mainly made of home textiles, underwear, non-woven fabrics, clothing, dyeing and finishing machinery, and high value-added enterprises. The number of rough processing enterprises such as spinning and weaving is very few, and there are less than 10 printing and dyeing enterprises.

The output value of finishing enterprises has accounted for more than 80% of the total output value of the industry.

Though affected by the RMB appreciation and the further reduction of the export tax rebate, the number of loss making enterprises in the textile industry in Shenzhen accounts for only 10% of the total. The average profit margin of enterprises is 3%-5%, and the profit margins of some famous enterprises are all two digits.

Therefore, it is not expected that a large number of enterprises will be moved or shut down in Shenzhen this year.

It is understood that Shenzhen textile enterprises have increased R & D investment in recent years, and pay more and more attention to the protection of independent intellectual property rights. The industry has more than 300 patents, and has 5 famous Chinese brands, 7 Guangdong famous brands and many famous brands both at home and abroad.
