Henan'S Textile Economy Is Running Well As A Whole.

In the first quarter of this year, the economic performance of Henan's textile industry maintained a good momentum of growth, and showed two characteristics: first, the growth of flagship products, the decline of the production of chemical fiber and cord fabrics; two, the continued improvement of profits and the larger increase in profits and taxes.

The output of chemical fiber was 135 thousand tons, a decrease of 4.1% compared with that of the previous year, and 9 thousand tons of cord fabric, a decrease of 17.6%.

In the first quarter, the textile industry in Henan completed an industrial added value of 4 billion 716 million yuan, an increase of 25.6% over the previous year, a sales income of 17 billion 85 million yuan, an increase of 43.3%, a tax increase of 714 million yuan, an increase of 51.2%, and a profit of 1 billion 222 million yuan, an increase of 77%.

Li Shuqin, President of Henan Textile Industry Association, said there were four reasons for this achievement in the first quarter of this year:

First, the leading role of backbone enterprises is obvious.

In 2007, Shenma Group achieved "three breakthroughs 10 billion": operating income exceeded 10 billion yuan, total assets exceeded 10 billion yuan, and capacity expansion exceeded 10 billion yuan.

In 2008, the group continued to maintain strong growth momentum.

In 1~3 months, the group completed sales revenue of 2 billion 270 million yuan, an increase of 26% over the same period last year, and realized profits and taxes of 63 million 170 thousand yuan, an increase of 16.27% over the previous year, and 42 million 200 thousand US dollars in export earnings, an increase of 24.9% over the same period last year.

As of March this year, 1194 Textile Enterprises above Designated Size had increased by 120 over the end of last year.

The new enterprises are all private, joint ventures and foreign-funded enterprises, becoming the new economic growth point of the textile industry in the whole province.

The three is the effectiveness of investment projects.

In the "11th Five-Year plan" key construction projects, 46 items of Xinye textile company's 15 million meter high grade garment fabrics were put into operation.

The benefits of these new projects gradually emerged in the first quarter of this year.

Four is the enterprise's ability to resist risks.

After years of market experience, the ability of enterprises to resist market risks has been enhanced, and their business level has improved significantly.

But the industry has also encountered some difficulties. In the 1~3 months this year, 124 enterprises were losing money, with a deficit of 99 million yuan, an increase of 96.4% over the same period last year.

In particular, the textile pformation and relocation project in Zhengzhou has been "tripping up" because of the land control plan of the local government. The textile enterprises and partners have invested a lot of money in the restructuring of enterprises and the construction of new factories, but they have not been able to land.

At present, the losses of some affected enterprises are increasing at a rate of 2 million ~400 yuan per month, and some enterprises will be forced to stop production.
