The Egyptian Textile Industry Association Appealed To The Government To Formulate A Policy Of Exemption From Yarn Imports From Turkey.
Recently, the Egyptian Textile Industry Association appealed to the Ministry of Commerce of Egypt and the Ministry of industry to formulate a policy of exemption from yarn imports from Turkey.
This proposal is mainly aimed at the decision made by Turkey in June 10th - the Levy of a safeguard duty of $1.03 per kilogram on the cotton yarn produced in Egypt for a period of 200 days and an extension of 3 years.
As a result, the cost of Egyptian yarn exports to Turkey will increase by 25-30%.
