Google recently launched the Google Trends For Websites service.

This new tool enables users to see the traffic data of all Internet sites, and will lead to competition between Google and traditional Internet research institutions such as Compete, Comscore and Alexa.

Google will be able to provide more accurate data relative to Alexa and other institutions through a huge search database.

However, if Google does not allow websites to share Analytics data, its website ranking will be questioned.

It is also reported that Mozilla will introduce traffic monitoring tools into Firefox browser.

Because Firefox currently accounts for 18% of the browser market, the data collected will be very important.
