Microsoft Stops Selling XP On Monday

According to foreign media reports in June 30th, Microsoft was still planning to start selling Windows XP to retailers and major PC manufacturers starting from Monday despite protests from users.

After DELL and HP and other PC manufacturers empty XP inventory, if users still want to use XP, they must first buy PC Vista Ultimate or Vista Business version before they can legitimately "downgrade" to XP.

However, by the end of January next year, Microsoft will continue to allow small PC companies to purchase XP, and ASUS, Eee PC and other ultra low PC will still support a certain version of XP.

Some users launched a petition on the InfoWorld website called "save XP", asking Microsoft to continue selling XP before the next generation of Windows 7.

Microsoft said earlier that Windows 7 is expected to be launched in 2009.

Microsoft said last week that it would continue to provide comprehensive technical support for XP by the end of 2009 and provide limited technical support by the end of 2014.
