The reporter learned from the on-site meeting of some key product quality special rectification work held in Fujian in July 3rd, that Xiamen's special rectification actions for seven key products, such as furniture, toys, clothing, paint and coatings, imitation ornaments, wood-based panels and decorative materials, are being carried out in an orderly way.

On the basis of establishing the quality archives of enterprises, Xiamen quality supervision bureau puts seven kinds of key production enterprises into daily supervision.

The clothing enterprises accounted for 2/3 in Xiamen's seven categories of products.

The quality supervision department also found that there were many phenomena in garment enterprises.

Some enterprises are still implementing the abolished national or industrial standards. Individual enterprises use the internal technical documents without record as product standards.

Xiamen City Quality Supervision Bureau official said that the supervision of spot checks failed products, serious problems, will be ordered to suspend production and rectification.

After the enterprise's rectification results are confirmed, the organization will be re examined. It will also notify the media that it is unqualified or refuses to make rectification.

If the pass rate of products is below 60%, the quality supervision department will also hold a product quality analysis meeting, analyze the reasons for the failure, propose corrective measures, and urge enterprises to make rectification in place so as to improve the effectiveness of supervision and spot checks.
