Ma Biao, President of the the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said at the first half year working conference of the autonomous region that Guangxi will vigorously develop three major industries, namely, building materials, paper making and electronic information, and four new industries, namely shipbuilding, textile and clothing, medicine and wood processing, so as to promote the industrialization process of Guangxi and promote economic and social development.

"Adhering to the priority development of industries and accelerating the industrialization process is the key and key to Guangxi's open development and reform and development."

Ma Biao said.

According to the plan, by 2010, the output value of the building materials industry in the three major industries will exceed 50 billion yuan. By 2012, the paper and electronic information industry will reach 50 billion yuan, and the total output value of the three major industries will reach 180 billion yuan.

By 2010, the shipbuilding industry in the four emerging industries reached 18 billion yuan, 20 billion yuan in textile and clothing, 20 billion yuan in medicine, and 25 billion yuan in timber processing. By 2012, the output value of four new emerging industries reached 30 billion yuan.
