In July 31, 2008, the "two China International Textile Machinery Exhibition" and the "ITMA Asia Exhibition", the world's top 2008 famous textile machinery exhibitions, were successfully held in Shanghai. The first China International Textile Machinery Exhibition and ITMA Asia exhibition were jointly held.

1368 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions of the world attended the event.

The exhibition has used all 11 exhibition pavilions of the Shanghai New International Expo Center, with an exhibition area of 126500 square meters, with a net area of over 73000 square meters.

The top 5 countries and regions with the largest number of exhibitors are China, Italy, Germany, China, Taiwan and Japan. The top 5 countries and regions are: China (net area is about 33000 square meters), Germany (net area is about 10000 square meters), Italy (net area is about 7200 square meters), Switzerland (net area is about 5200 square meters), and Japan (net area is about 3300 square meters).

In order to protect the intellectual property rights of exhibitors, the organizers set up the on-site Intellectual Property Office.

During the exhibition, 26 cases of intellectual property disputes were received and handled. According to the rules of the exhibition, all exhibits that involved disputes were ordered to withdraw from the exhibition.

Another two exhibitors were cancelled on the spot because of breaking the exhibition rules.

In the short 5 days of the exhibition, more than 80 thousand professional visitors and businessmen visited the exhibition, far exceeding the number of visitors in Singapore's ITMA ASIA in 2005.

More than 20% of the audience came from 96 different countries and regions.

Because of the convenient location, Southeast Asian visitors and merchants are more active. Among them, the number of tourists from India is the top, followed by Japan, Korea, Thailand, Iran, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Vietnam, Bangladesh and so on.

Despite the first joint exhibition of the two exhibitions, the great success of this exhibition is still recognized by exhibitors and spectators.

Mr. Du Yuzhou, President of the China Textile Industry Association, highly appreciated the success of this joint exhibition. Together with China Textile machinery and equipment industry association, our goal is to provide a high quality and cost-effective exhibition platform for our exhibitors and their customers.

We oppose too many disorderly spinning exhibitions. To avoid the waste of manpower and financial resources of exhibitors, it is our common desire to create an important platform in the real sense.

Gao Yong, vice chairman of the China Textile Industry Association and chairman of China Textile machinery and equipment industry association, highly appraised the role of this exhibition in promoting the technological progress of the textile industry: "the global textile industry is in an important stage of pformation from traditional technology to high technology. The new technology and equipment displayed at this exhibition will play a very important role in promoting the development of the textile industry in Asia and even the whole world."

During the exhibition, Mr. Toyoda Tetsuro, President of the Japan Textile Machinery Industry Association and President of TOYOTA automatic loom company, spoke with Wang Tiankai, vice president of the China Textile Industry Association. Although the market of textile machinery products was not very good this year, the surprising number of visitors attracted the first day of the exhibition, and the audience still visited the tickets by themselves.

This shows that our enthusiasm for the industry has not been affected by the downturn in the market. It also shows the influence of the exhibition in the Asian market.

Mr. Hooke, deputy general manager of China Hi-Tech Group Corporation, was deeply satisfied with the spectator organization of the exhibition. He said: "this exhibition seems to be less than that of the China International Textile Machinery Exhibition held in Beijing, but the quality of the audience has been greatly improved, and all of them are truly spinning machine users or potential customers.

As we all know, the market situation is not very good at present, but the exhibition is far better than we expected. It is a very successful exhibition. "

Mr. Heinrich Te Lui Zeiler, managing partner of Germany's special group, also praised the success of this exhibition. The company signed 100 orders for carding machines at the exhibition.

Compared with the China International Textile Machinery Exhibition held in Beijing in the past, I think the exhibition is not only large in scale but also better in layout and more internationalized.

In the past, 90% of the exhibitions held in China were local Chinese, and this time we saw many professional audiences in other Asian countries.
