In the first half of 2008, the AQSIQ focused on the state supervision and inspection of the quality of 127 kinds of products, including food, daily consumer goods, building and decoration materials, agricultural production materials, and so on. A total of 11396 products produced by 10395 enterprises (not involving export products) were inspected. The qualified rate of physical quality sampling of products was 93.8%, among which the qualified rate of physical quality sampling for large, medium and small enterprises was 97.3%, 92.1% and 83.5% respectively.

In the first half of 2008, the AQSIQ further increased the coverage of spot checks, and the number of enterprises and products increased by 63% and 58% respectively compared with the first half of 2007.

Textile and clothing: cashmere knitwear, linen products, silk quilts, women's underwear, coats, infant and young children's clothing, sportswear and knitted bathing suits 7 categories of textile and clothing products directly related to the important indicators of personal health and safety. The qualified rate is high. Among the 423 products examined, only 3 kinds of products can decompose aromatic amine dyes, 2 items of formaldehyde products are not qualified, indicating that the banned azo dyes and formaldehyde have been widely recognized by manufacturers in recent years.
