According to the Vietnam economic times in November 17th, the Vietnam shoe leather association said that the EU proposed that Vietnamese enterprises should sign a voluntary price commitment agreement to avoid a 10% anti-dumping duty.

Voluntary price commitment means that the price of leather shoes promised by the enterprises to the EU market is no less than a specified price.

This price is proposed by the export enterprise but must be approved by the European Union.

Reported that if the lowest price agreement can be reached as soon as possible, the EU may abolish anti-dumping duties on Vietnamese leather shoes since January 1, 2009.

However, the minimum price agreement will be invalidated after the EU's decision to terminate the anti-dumping duty.
