The reporter learned from the Jiangmen customs that between January and May this year, Guangdong exported 1350000000 pairs of shoes, down fifteen point six percent from the same period last year.

According to the insiders, the export of footwear in Guangdong has dropped markedly. The main reasons include: rising costs, squeezing profits from enterprises, frequent anti-dumping barriers, lack of independent brands and R & D capabilities, and weak ability to resist risks.
