Recently, the EVA dragging shoes light industry standard (QB/T2977-2008), initiated by the Quanzhou Baofeng Shoes Development Co., Ltd., was approved by the China Light Industry Federation and submitted to the national development and Reform Commission for approval. It will be formally implemented from September 1st this year.

It is reported that this standard is China's first EVA dragging sandals national industry standard.

EVA is called ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer.

Since the material of EVA as a sandal was only popular around 1995, there is no international standard for EVA slippers in the world, and there is no industry standard for EVA sandals before. Most enterprises are based on the national rubber and plastic footwear industry standards very early, or according to the different needs of the market, they set up their own enterprise standards.

Moreover, the standards for plastic shoes were relatively early, and they could no longer meet the requirements of the detailed development of the market. Therefore, a new national standard was needed to regulate the slippers industry.

At present, there are many manufacturers of EVA sandals in China, and there are many kinds of products, but there is a lack of uniform quality standards and requirements. The inspection standards of production units are different or lack of relevant standards.

The issuance and implementation of this standard will be of great significance for standardizing the EVA sandals Market in China and even in the international market, and promoting the healthy development of the whole industry. At the same time, it also shows Baofeng's leading position in the EVA dragging sandals industry.

After that, Baofeng will join the Quanzhou quality and technology supervision department to make preparations for the implementation of the industry standard.
