In the first 7 months of this year, Xinjiang's foreign trade exceeded US $10 billion, and realized a total import and export value of US $11 billion 580 million, nearly double that of the same period last year, which is 70% higher than the national average.

The reporter learned from the Urumqi customs that in the 1-7 month of this year, Xinjiang's foreign trade exports amounted to 9 billion 890 million US dollars, nearly doubled, and imports of US $1 billion 690 million, an increase of more than 80%, and the total realization of trade continuity.

According to the analysis, Xinjiang's foreign trade this year has the following characteristics:

Small frontier trade continued to maintain strong growth, import and export amounted to nearly 9 billion US dollars, an increase of 1.2 times compared with the same period last year, accounting for 77% of the total value of imports and exports.

The export of private enterprises doubled, reaching 7 billion 620 million US dollars, an increase of 1.1 times, accounting for 77% of the total value of exports.

The export of traditional commodities has maintained a relatively fast growth. Exports of clothing and clothing accessories, footwear, mechanical and electrical products, textile yarn and products, and agricultural products totaled nearly 8 billion dollars, accounting for more than 80% of the total value of Xinjiang's foreign trade in the same period.

The import of primary products increased substantially, and the first 7 months of Xinjiang imported a total of $1 billion 250 million in primary products, accounting for 75% of the total import value of the same period.

According to the customs and Excise Department of Urumqi customs, the import and export value of Xinjiang and 5 major trading partners in the first 7 months of this year amounted to more than ten billion US dollars, reaching US $10 billion 200 million.
