Olympic Games Stimulate Guangdong Footwear And Other Sporting Goods Import And Export Growth
According to the latest statistics of Shenzhen customs yesterday, the Olympic Games held in Beijing greatly stimulated the sporting goods economy of Guangdong port, and the scale of imports and exports showed an increasing trend.
In the 1~7 month of this year, the import of sporting goods at Guangdong port was US $160 million, an increase of 14.2% over the same period last year, and the export of sporting goods 1 billion 560 million US dollars, an increase of 24.4%.

According to the data statistics personnel analysis, the port sports economy mainly imports and exports of processing trade.
In 1~7 months, on the export side, the sporting goods of Guangdong port exported 1 billion 140 million US dollars in processing trade mode, an increase of 20.4%, accounting for 73.1% of the total exports of sporting goods at the same period, and 340 million US dollars in general trade mode, an increase of 36%. On the import side, imports of US $130 million in processing trade increased by 11.5%, accounting for 81.3% of the total imports of sporting goods at the same period.
Most of the sporting goods at the ports are exported to Europe and the United States. In 1~7 months, on the export side, sporting goods in Guangdong port exported 750 million US dollars and 340 million US dollars to the United States and the European Union respectively, with a rapid growth of 24.6% and 29.7%, which accounted for 69.9% of the total exports of sporting goods in Guangdong ports at the same time. In terms of imports, sporting goods from Guangdong Port imported 70 million 570 thousand dollars from Taiwan Province, down 4.9%.
At the same time, the export of fitness and rehabilitation equipment and roller skates increased rapidly, and golf and its equipment were the largest imported varieties.
In 1~7 months, on the export side, golf clubs and other golf equipment exported to Guangdong port were 510 million US dollars, an increase of 14.4%; fitness and rehabilitation equipment exports 120 million US dollars, an increase of 39.7%; roller skates exported 87 million 420 thousand US dollars, an increase of 55.4%. In terms of imports, golf clubs and other golf equipment were worth 130 million US dollars, an increase of 13%; badminton racket or similar racket imports of US $10 million 30 thousand, down 6.5%.
