Meeting to study the deployment of health and epidemic prevention work, decided to set up a post disaster reconstruction planning group.

It is a very urgent task to ensure that there is no major epidemic after the disaster.

To do this work, we must grasp four points: first, to ensure adequate epidemic prevention technicians and supervisors, to cover every village; two, to ensure the necessary medicines for epidemic prevention, especially disinfectants, disinfectants and insecticides; three, to cut off the sources of pollution and prevent pollution from spreading; and four, to ensure the safety of drinking water and food.

The post disaster reconstruction planning group is composed of the development and Reform Commission, the Sichuan provincial government, the Ministry of housing, urban and rural construction and other relevant departments.

On the basis of on-the-spot investigation, scientific argumentation, geological and geographical condition assessment and scientific site selection of construction projects, the expert committee of the national seismological Committee of Wenchuan should make a general plan for post disaster reconstruction plan and strive to complete it within three months.

The overall plan for reconstruction planning should include urban system planning, rural construction planning, infrastructure construction planning, public service facilities construction planning, productivity layout and industrial adjustment planning, market service system planning, disaster prevention and disaster reduction planning and so on.
