Because of the soaring cost of raw materials, nylon manufacturers are eager to raise their prices in July, but downstream producers are strongly resisted by the downturn in demand. The price of nylon 6 semi matting slicing in Taiwan nylon manufacturers is 2840 dollars per day (90 days L / C), but no deal has been reached at this level. The price of other nylon manufacturers at the range of US $2800-2850 per ton has been reached at $2750-2790 per ton (90 days L / C).
Chinese mainland manufacturers raised the spot price of nylon 6 semi dull matting (Textile) to 24500-24700 yuan per ton, but the market was rarely higher than the 24000 yuan per ton. Due to the cost of raw materials and crude oil, the spot price of nylon 66 semi dull matting (Textile) in Taiwan has risen to $3000 per ton (sight L / C). On the mainland nylon 66 spot market, the price is quoted in the range of US $2900-3100 per ton (90 days L / C). Nylon 6 and nylon 66 manufacturers have reduced operating rates, and high cost and high storage are still the key reasons.
