The World Trade Organization (WTO) recently released a report that the number of anti-dumping cases in the global trade has been on the decline since the second half of 2007.

WTO said that the overall downward trend of anti-dumping cases shows that the global trade tensions have gradually eased, especially the trade friction between North and South has obviously eased.

The report shows that in the first half of 2007, anti-dumping cases in Global trade began to show a downward trend, and the world trade anti-dumping cases showed a decreasing trend in the second half of the year.

Statistics show that in the second half of last year, 14 members of the world's 153 WTO members launched a total of 101 anti-dumping investigations cases, a decrease of 8 from the same period last year, with a reduction rate of 7%, of which 45 of the 101 anti-dumping cases initiated by developed members, including 23 for machinery and equipment, 18 for chemicals, and 11 for textiles.

Another group of WTO statistics also showed that in 2007, 13 members of the WTO members launched and started 58 new trade restrictive measures, including 13 of the newly developed trade restrictions developed by the WTO members, including the United States, but this also decreased by 12% compared with the previous year.

Among the members of the WTO development, India is the largest number of anti-dumping cases and the most developed member of anti-dumping measures.

Statistics show that India launched a total of 31 anti-dumping cases last year. At the same time, India launched 16 new trade restrictions last year, accounting for 27.5% of the world's total.

In addition, 24 anti dumping cases were launched in the United States last year, and 10 were launched in South Korea.
