On the 16 day, the Guangdong Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce released the monitoring of all kinds of casual wear, knitted underwear and towels sold in the circulation sector in the second quarter of this year.

According to the briefing, we sampled 151 batches of casual wear, knitted underwear and towels sold by 35 sales enterprises in 7 cities such as Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Shantou, Heyuan, Jiangmen, Dongguan, Zhongshan and so on, with 63 batches of qualified products and 88 failed batches, with a pass rate of 41.7%.

The Provincial Bureau of industry and Commerce said that the quality of casual wear, knitted underwear and towels was not satisfactory, and some commodity safety indicators had problems.

Knitted underwear is a clothing worn by people all the year round. It is directly contacted with the human skin. The basic safety performance is not qualified, which will affect the health of consumers. However, the poor absorbency of towels directly affects the use performance, and there are 2 batches of dyestuffs that can be decomposed in the spot checks of towels.

Decomposable aromatic amine dyes are toxic and harmful to human body. If they are absorbed by the skin in long-term contact with human body, they will affect human health.

The monitoring found that 2 batches of products can decompose aromatic amine dyes failed.
