On the afternoon of July 23rd and yesterday morning, the inspection team led by Chen Meiping, deputy director of the Taizhou Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and deputy director of the Supervision Bureau, accompanied by the leaders of relevant departments of the city, inspected the rectification of major accident potential enterprises in 9 provinces and cities in Taizhou, including the 100 shoe industry, the lettel shoes industry, the MARANTZ clothing Limited company, and so on. The contents of the inspection included whether the fire equipment was allocated according to the requirements, whether the wiring and electrical installations were standardized, whether the workshop and dormitory had an emergency evacuation exit, and whether to establish and improve the safety production rules and regulations and production safety ledgers.

After the end of the inspection, the inspection team and the party subsequently held a report on safety production work. The Standing Committee and deputy mayor Liu Fa Ding of the municipal Party committee reported to the inspection team on the work safety situation in our city this year.

In the first half of this year, a total of 691 accidents occurred in our city, down 3.36% from the same period last year. The cumulative death rate was 78, down 16.13% from the same period last year, and 728 people were injured, down 0.95% from the same period last year. The direct economic loss was 5 million 870 thousand and 200 yuan, down 0.99% from the same period last year.

Through visiting enterprises, listening to the situation and consulting relevant information, the inspection team affirmed the work safety in our city, and suggested that governments at all levels should strengthen safety supervision in accident prone areas, and carry out hidden trouble investigation and management in an in-depth and lasting manner.
