Reporters learned yesterday that the "2008 Fabrics China China International fabric design competition" sponsored by China Textile Information Center will be sold in Keqiao, Shaoxing. At present, more than 500 textile enterprises at home and abroad have already entered the competition for awards.

As one of the most authoritative textile professional events in China's textile industry, this competition will become a touchstone for directly testing the original design level of a region. As a host, Shaoxing enterprises are expected to get more performance opportunities.

This competition takes the theme of "new city life" as the theme, and the textile and garment enterprises and design institutes at home and abroad. There are two groups of pattern design and fabric design. They are divided into two stages: initial assessment and final evaluation. Then, the jury will select 100 awards, one or two, three and other outstanding awards, as well as the best Creative Award and best scientific and technological progress award. The award ceremony will be held this autumn.

The reporter understands, at present, there are more than 500 well-known textile enterprises in the world, and more than 200 of them participate in the fabric design competition.

But as the host city of Shaoxing, at present only Tiansheng holdings, rainbow Zhuang printing and dyeing, and so on less than 20 Shaoxing textile enterprises to enter the competition, and Shaoxing textile industry in the status and influence is obviously disproportionate.

"This competition specifically encourages the design and innovation of market oriented textile fabrics and pattern products. It advocates the product development concept combining fashion trend research with production practice, and completes the commercialization and industrialization of R & D results through the integration and innovation of industrial chain, and builds a trinity professional platform for production, learning and research."

A person in charge of the Preparatory Committee of the competition said that these are the urgent needs of Shaoxing textile industry in pformation and upgrading. Shaoxing textile industry should not give up the opportunity.

It is reported that the deadline for the competition is August 25, 2008, and the preparation time for Shaoxing textile industry is nearly a month.

The responsible person of the Preparatory Committee said that Shaoxing enterprises can declare themselves if they want to participate in the competition.
