According to the latest report, if the Indonesia government can not stop the pshipment of Chinese textiles and garments through Indonesia, the knitted fabric and garment manufacturing industry, one of Indonesia's largest foreign exchange industries, will soon face US sanctions.

According to the Research Report on "Indonesia knitted fabric and garment manufacturing" published in the Taiwan Institute of economic and trade database, the total export value of knitted fabrics and Garments items in Indonesia in 2007 was estimated to be 22 trillion 311 billion Indonesia shield recession from the previous year to 19 trillion 36 billion Indonesia shield (2 billion 90 million US dollars).

The top 6 destinations for export of knitted fabrics and garments in Indonesia are the United States (30%), Germany (10.7%), the United Kingdom (7.2%), Nai and Leah (5.8%), Holland (4%) and France (3.4%).

However, since 2004, export and domestic demand of knitted fabrics and garments in Indonesia have all declined, resulting in a decline in the turnover of the industry.

The rise in cotton prices, together with the high cost of fuel and electricity, and the increase in minimum wage and interest rates, have made it difficult for Indonesia enterprises to compete on price.

The main buyers in Europe and the US are also inclined to offer cheap, beautiful products in China, India and Vietnam.

The United States has restricted the import of Chinese textiles and garments to the benefit of Indonesia knitted fabrics and garment manufacturers.

In order to solve the problem of pshipment of Chinese textiles and garments through Indonesia, the Indonesia government intends to restart the pmission visa data system (ELVIS), increase the pre shipment inspection measures, and restrict the certificate of origin to be issued by a specific Indonesia trade organization.
