Sales Of Brown Brand Shoes Dropped 7.3%
Brown Shoes Company announced that in the five weeks ended October 4th, the sales of the same brand stores in the company's brand-name footwear department decreased by 7.3%, and the same store sales in the three quarter of 4 months ended 20 lower than the same period last year.
As a result, the company now expects net sales of 6.33-6.38 billion in the three quarter of 2008, compared with $646 million in the same period last year.
In the three quarter, the same store sales of brand-name footwear department decreased by 4.5-5.5%.
In addition, the company expects sales in the three quarter to decrease by 4.0-5.0%.
The company now expects net earnings per share in the three quarter to be US $0.17-0.20.
By comparison, the same period last year was 0.61 dollars.
