Yesterday, the China Leather Development Forum jointly sponsored by China Leather Association, China leather and footwear industry research institute, national leather and footwear industry productivity promotion center and Xingye leather Polytron Technologies Inc was held in Fuzhou. Leaders of relevant departments, experts, scholars and famous entrepreneurs from the leather and footwear industry gathered here to discuss how the leather industry "environmental protection, innovation, pformation and upgrading".

Yang Chengjie, President of the China leather and footwear industry research institute, also said that many people have misunderstandings about the leather industry, and think leather is a serious and non polluting industry. "This is totally misunderstood." He said that the leather industry is a pollutant discharge industry, but the total volume is not big (about 1 billion tons), the proportion is not high (accounting for 0.47% of the total industrial sewage discharge), tannery sewage treatment technology is mature, and the cost is not high (about 0.10 yuan per square foot leather).
Yang Chengjie pointed out that there are four developing trends in leather industry in the future. This is also the only way to upgrade leather industry. "From capital type to technology pfer, from product quantity type to brand type, from enterprise decentralized mode to industrial cluster mode, from developed area to sub developed area." As the only leather enterprise to host the conference, Wu Huachun, chairman of Xingye leather Polytron Technologies Inc, said: "strengthening independent innovation, adhering to the path of product differentiation and brand building, and adhering to the strategy of green sustainable development are the secrets of Xingye leather's development in a tough economic environment."
