The Ministry Of Commerce Issued Free Export Footwear Quality And Safety Handbook Free Of Charge At The Canton Fair.
The Ministry of Commerce announced yesterday that the third session of the 104th Canton Fair was opened in Guangzhou on the 2 day. The Ministry of Commerce's foreign trade division and the AQSIQ inspection and supervision department issued free export footwear quality and safety practical manuals to exhibitors.
It is understood that the manual summarizes China's export footwear quality and safety testing standards, the United States, the European Union, Japan and other major markets related technical regulations, standards and conformity assessment procedures, as well as the quality management system established by domestic footwear enterprises. It will help Chinese footwear enterprises to fully understand the laws and standards of quality and safety in foreign countries, and establish a good image of "made in China".
China Chamber of Commerce for import and export of light industrial arts and crafts said that the current situation of export of China's footwear and other labor-intensive products is grim.
It is understood that the EU launched anti-dumping investigations on leather shoes in China and Vietnam in 2005, and imposed a 16.5% anti-dumping duty on Chinese leather shoes in October 2006. After the expiration of this year, the EU re examined the case in an attempt to extend the anti-dumping period. The Ministry of Commerce has held coordination meetings in Zhejiang, Guangdong and Fujian's three shoe making bases, calling on shoe manufacturers to go all out to respond. According to sources from the Ministry of Commerce, 60 companies have responded positively.
