09 Years, German Rubber And Plastic Machinery Business Will Be Reduced By 20%.
A few days ago, the German machinery manufacturers association (VDMA) predicted that the turnover of German plastics (8165, -190.00, -2.27%) and rubber (13390180.00,1.36%) machinery would drop by 20% in 2009.
According to VDMA, orders for plastic and rubber machinery in Germany began to decline in the middle of last year, but after a few months of depression, year-end turnover increased by 7% and set a record of 560 million euros. However, the demand for the two important terminal industries of automobiles and construction industry has declined, which has brought a heavy blow to equipment manufacturers.
Thurston Kuman, managing director of VDMA (Thorsten K hmann), said: "German plastics and rubber machinery have special advantages in terms of energy and resource efficiency.
Far sighted people know that if the cost of raw materials and energy is reduced, there will be a competitive advantage. Now we need to lay a foundation stone for the future. Only those enterprises that are fully prepared in the financial crisis can usher in the next round of growth.
