Pakistan'S Spinning Industry Received 3% Interest Subsidy From The Government.
As China and India's textile and garment enterprises enjoy preferential policies, the Pakistan government also provides 3% interest subsidy to spinning enterprises for two years.
On Thursday, textile minister Mr Khan announced in a statement that the preferential time will begin in July 1, 2007 and end in June 30, 2009. The subsidy funds before December 2008 will be paid in March 2009. This year's subsidy will be paid in July.
The government has allocated 1 billion 700 million rupees to 3% of the subsidy, which has been deposited in the Central Bank of Pakistan. In addition, it has provided R & D funds of 4 billion rupees.
