India Coconut Fiber Exports Will Break Through The Target
At present, all sectors of the textile and garment industry in India are facing negative growth. However, the development of the coconut fiber industry is moving smoothly. According to an official of the coconut fiber management committee, the coconut fiber industry is successfully completing the target set in the 2008-09 fiscal year.
China is the main competitive country in India's textile and clothing industry, but the export of India coconut fiber to India's northern neighbor China has increased by a large margin. In the current difficulties and downturn, China's demand growth has provided support for India coconut fiber.
In the current fiscal year, the export of coconut fiber and products is expected to reach the target of 6 billion rupees. In April - February, the export of coconut fiber has exceeded 5 billion 720 million rupees, and exports to 3.8-4 billion rupees in March.
The number of imported coconut fiber products in China this year is almost three times that of the normal year, but the import of other traditional importing countries has not increased. The market share of the United States also dropped from 40% to 31%.
