Affected by the changes in the economic situation in the second half of last year, the linen textile industry in Xinjiang has been impacted and difficult to operate and sell.

According to the Party committee of Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, the main producing area in Xinjiang, the main business income of the local linen textile industry in the first half of 2008 was 116 million yuan, a slight increase over the same period last year, and the business situation was basically stable. In the second half of the year, the main operating income of linen textile industry was only 127 million yuan, down 40.7% from the previous year.

The three or four quarter of the peak season of production and marketing has been hit hard. Most of the linen textile enterprises are faced with the difficulties of having no market price and reducing production. Raw material prices have dropped sharply, while most of Yili's enterprises are engaged in rough or semi-finished products processing.
