Jiangsu Dafeng Cotton Prices Rise But Sales Are Not Smooth.
Recently, the price of lint in Dafeng, Jiangsu has increased considerably, but sales are sluggish. In April 2nd, local type 200 cotton enterprises 328 grade lint sale offered a price of 12300 yuan / ton (to factories, public inspection, tickets, cash more than 80%), up 350 yuan / ton compared with last week, the highest price since October 2008.
Due to the sluggish textile market, local textile enterprises have difficulty in capital turnover, while cotton enterprises insist on full cash settlement, making the purchasing amount of lint in textile enterprises smaller. In addition, the recent circulation of lint in the market is mainly cotton, and the quality is lower than that of big bales. Some enterprises producing high yarn products do not apply, resulting in poor sales of local lint.
