In May 11th, the Finance Bureau of Heng Mountain County, Hengyang City, Hunan, rejected the report of several departments demanding the purchase of official vehicles.

The county took effective measures to save money. From 1 to April this year, the funding of official reception of Party and government organs was reduced by 15% compared with the same period last year.

This year, the whole county does not arrange new purchases of official vehicle funds, and the purchase and operation cost of vehicles at all levels is reduced by more than 15% on the basis of the average of nearly 3 years. Other general expenditures are controlled, and energy conservation and environmental protection actions such as water saving, electricity saving, fuel saving and paper saving are actively advocated. Modern information technology is used to reduce the expenses of printing, post and telecommunications. On the basis of last year, the expenses of water, electricity, oil and paper are reduced by 5%. In order to reduce the cost of administrative operation, in early this year, Heng Mountain County expressly stipulated: reducing conference activities, strictly controlling participants and meeting time, this year the total number of meetings of the county was reduced by more than 30% compared with last year;

In order to ensure the annual goal of reducing expenditure, Heng Mountain county has also established strict assessment methods, and established regular inspection mechanism to implement the objectives of the envoys.
