The Jing nationality is mainly distributed on the islands near the sea. Among them, the population of Wan Tau, Wu tou and Shan Xin island is relatively concentrated, commonly known as the "three islands of Beijing".

There are also a number of scattered villages in the Han and Zhuang villages around the three islands.

The Jing nationality is a cross border ethnic group whose ancestors lived in the northern part of the people's Democratic Republic of Vietnam. In the Ming Dynasty to the end of nineteenth Century, in the Ming Dynasty, it was gradually moved from the original residence to the Dongxing area of China's Guangxi.
