Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI) said on Friday that it had started legal proceedings against the EU's decision to extend anti-dumping duties on footwear imported from China and Vietnam.

In a statement, FESI pointed out that the EU's decision to extend the tariffs on leather shoes imported from China and Vietnam is based on misleading investigations and analyses.

Members of FESI include top international brands, such as Adidas (Adidas), Puma (Puma), Nike (Nike), Lacoste and Asics.FESI. Since the European Union began to levy tariffs in 2006, the industry has lost nearly 1 billion euros.
