A number of export garments of a garment enterprise in Yantai were found to have broken the needle by Japanese consumers. The claim was made by Japanese customers. With the help of the Yantai inspection and Quarantine Technology Center, the company proved that the broken needle was not what the enterprise had done, and finally redeemed its reputation.

According to Zhang Ke Long, technology center of Yantai inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in the early February, Yantai's clothing export enterprise went to the technology center for help. It said that it had exported a batch of clothing to Japan, and consumers complained that there was a small truncated needle in the garment. Japanese customers thought it was caused by the failure of the enterprise in the inspection needle, and demanded compensation.

The staff immediately made the 48 models of the export garments produced by the company and compared them with needles under microscope. It was concluded that the broken needle was not detected in the production process of the enterprises.

After receiving the test results, the garment company appealed to Japanese customers to avoid economic losses of about 600000 yuan.
