Adidas Will Become The Training Supplies Empire In The Next Five Years.
HerbertHainer, chief executive of Adidas, a German sporting goods giant, said in an interview with economic weekly magazine that by 2015, the company plans to develop its subsidiary Reebok in the United States into a fitness and training supplies empire.
HerbertHainer also said that the company intends to focus on online sales. He pointed out that the company has already started working on e-commerce projects.
HerbertHainer said that Reebok plans to build its own fitness room, or try to sell sports fitness food and beverages, while Reebok will also build Reebok clubs.
Adidas launched a fitness training program in 2009 and plans to gradually sell sportswear in the fitness room.
According to HerbertHainer, Adidas's "one dollar shoe" project, the sale of cheap shoes that the people can afford in Bangladesh, is progressing.
The factory will start developing and testing production this year.
