The leather clean technology innovation alliance is led by the Shandong Leather Industry Association. It is jointly established by fifteen key enterprises in Shandong, including two universities in Yantai University and Shandong light court, the provincial leather Institute, the national tannery technology promotion center, and the Wendeng Bao Sen group and Wendeng deer skin tanning Co., Ltd.

A new mechanism for production, teaching and research will be established. A joint research and development platform will be built to strengthen resource intensive utilization and key common technology development, break through the technical bottlenecks restricting the leather clean production in Shandong, reduce the pollution of leather industry, and enhance the independent innovation capability and industrial competitiveness of Shandong leather industry.
