EU Revised Toy Noise Standard

The standard of toy noise has been released before, if it is obtained.

The new regulations will be implemented from August 1, 2004, and will have a direct impact on European manufacturers.
The new noise standard is mainly aimed at toys with detonators, including toy guns installed with detonators and other toys that can be voiced.
At present, the upper limit of the volume of the toy gun with detonators is 140 decibels, but some European Union member states such as Austria, Germany and Sweden consider that these toy guns are enough to cause harm to the children's ears.
According to EU regulations, EU member states have the right to take measures to ban items they consider dangerous. Therefore, the EU countries further indicated that if they did not comply with their requirements to amend the noise standards, they would block the circulation of the toys in the market by means of ban.
Due to the pressure of these member states, the noise standards recommended by CEN have been more restrictive in restricting the sound volume of toy products.
The volume level of toys with detonators should not exceed 125 decibels. The noise level will be reviewed by the end of 2003.
Two, except for toys with detonators, all other toys should not exceed 115 decibels.
