The leather clean technology innovation alliance is led by the Shandong Leather Industry Association. It is jointly established by fifteen key enterprises in Shandong, including two universities in Yantai University and Shandong light court, the provincial leather Institute, the national tannery technology promotion center, and the Wendeng Bao Sen group and Wendeng deer skin tanning Co., Ltd.

The alliance will take the development of new technologies and technologies of tanning industry to achieve clean leather production as the goal, and take the development needs of enterprises as well as the common interests of all sides as the basis. With a legally binding contract as a guarantee, a new type of innovative cooperative organization with joint development, complementary advantages, interest sharing and risk sharing will be established around the leather clean technology innovation. A new mechanism for production, teaching and research will be established to build a joint research and development platform, strengthen resource intensive utilization and key common technology development, break through the technology bottle neck that restricts the leather clean production in Shandong, reduce the pollution of leather industry, and enhance the independent innovation capability and industrial competitiveness of Shandong leather industry.
