Bangladesh's ready-made clothing accessories and carton manufacturers asked the government to help the sector grow, so they asked the government to formulate incentives.

The industry urged the government to withdraw 15% of the rental value-added tax and the bank guarantee of imported raw materials, and they also asked for equal treatment with the enterprises in the export processing zone.

Rafez Alam Chowdhury, President of Bangladesh corrugated box / accessories manufacturers and Exporters Association (BCCAMEA), made the above request at a press conference.

According to him, if the government formulating incentives, their industry is expected to reach US $3 billion.

But he lamented that successive governments did not value their industry.
