Dassault Syst MES announced recently that half of the world's top clothing and footwear brands participating in the 2010 international apparel sourcing summit have adopted Dassault's PLM (product life cycle management) solution.

The latest report from AMRResearch, an authoritative market research firm, on the main technological trends of the clothing market, shows that 68% of the garment companies surveyed are planning to launch new products or new products to achieve their growth goals, while 42% of the clothing companies are seeking to enter the global market and expand business opportunities.

The report points out that clothing and footwear companies must consider adopting integrated PLM applications to "improve the accuracy and efficiency of new product planning, and gradually expand the scope of suppliers with the help of the management platform built by PLM, and promote their diversification.
