Today, Changan Automobile Co is officially established in R & D center of Nottingham science and Technology Park, UK.

NetEase finance learned that the R & D center in the UK will be built as the core of Changan global powertrain R & D center, and to promote Changan automobile.

"Through the establishment of overseas centers, Changan automobile has filled the gaps in its interior and exterior decoration design, model making and other fields.

"Changan automobile chairman Xu Liuping said.

Xu Liuping believes that the establishment of the Changan automotive R & D center means that the R & D center of Changan has spanned eight regions in four countries and across the Eurasian continent, which can fully absorb global research and development.

Yu Chenglong, head of the Changan automotive R & D center project team, revealed that the R & D center in Nottingham, UK, is expected to employ 25-30 people at the beginning of its development, but will employ more than 200 people by the end of 2013.

It is reported that the Changan automotive UK Nottingham R & D center will be employed mainly from the UK's local university research institutions and other world leading auto companies, which will help Changan cars in the power assembly.
