China Encourages The Development Of Biomass Fiber Industry

He Yanli, deputy director of the Industrial Coordination Department of the national development and Reform Commission, recently attended the special forum on biomass fiber and biochemical raw materials, pointing out that biomass fiber meets the new direction of the development of strategic emerging industries.

Chemical fiber industry

Biomass products should be vigorously developed to achieve partial replacement of fossil raw materials.

Zheng Zhiyi, director of the China Chemical Fiber Association, also pointed out that during the "12th Five-Year" period, the chemical fiber industry will focus on biomass fiber and biochemical raw materials, guide the industry to upgrade the industrial level by using biotechnology, pform the traditional regenerated fiber production process, and promote the green processing and new technology and integrated technology of fiber materials.

He Yanli emphasized that the development of new solution method is currently focused.

Cellulose fiber

Polylactic acid, seaweed and other biomass fibers and biological polyols, sugar aldehydes and other monomers and fibers.

Biomass fiber refers to a type of fiber derived from renewable biomass, including natural movement.

Plant fiber

Regenerated fibers and synthetic fibers derived from biomass.

Vigorously developing biomass fiber can effectively expand the source of textile raw materials, make up for the shortage of domestic textile resources, and also be an important means to cope with the increasingly depletion of oil resources and realize the sustainable development of the textile industry. Developing renewable, degradable and recyclable biomass fiber dimension is also an important task to promote the restructuring of chemical fiber raw materials and establish a recycling economy development mode of chemical fiber industry.

At present, China's biomass regenerated fiber industry has developed rapidly. In 2009, its capacity reached 1 million 910 thousand tons, accounting for 77% of the world's total capacity.

China's biomass fiber resources are abundant and have broad prospects for development and application.

A shares listed companies, Shandong Hailong, Jilin chemical fiber and other carried out biological chemical fiber research, and achieved some results.
