The Ministry of Commerce held a symposium on the pformation and upgrading of processing trade in Suzhou, Jiangsu, in from July 1st to 2nd.

Jiang Yaoping, Vice Minister of Commerce, said that processing trade is in line with China's national conditions. It is an important way for China to take advantage of two domestic and international resources and two markets, ease employment pressure, improve the level of industrial development and enhance international competitiveness. China will actively promote the upgrading of processing trade.

In the past 30 years since the reform and opening up, China has been working in the field of processing.

Jiang Yaoping said that promoting the pformation and upgrading of processing trade is an important and urgent strategic task of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. It is the necessity of implementing the Scientific Outlook on Development and the inevitable requirement for achieving sustainable and coordinated development of the national economy. It is also an important measure to change the mode of foreign trade development and enhance the endurance of sustainable development.

Since August 2008, the international financial crisis has seriously impacted China's processing trade.

At present, processing trade has achieved a resumption of growth, but the foundation for growth is still not solid. Processing trade is facing increasing internal and external pressures.

At present, the pformation and upgrading of processing trade is also facing a new round of optimization and reorganization of global production factors and new opportunities for industrial pfer.

In the coming period, global industry will be in a stage of rapid adjustment and integration. The momentum of cross-border pfer of R & D internationalization, service outsourcing and high-end manufacturing industry will continue to strengthen. Through pformation and upgrading, China's position in the international division of labor will continue to rise.

In recent years, the eastern coastal provinces and cities continue to explore new ways to promote the pformation and upgrading of processing trade under the new situation, and have accumulated successful experiences.

Guangdong Province set up 1 billion yuan special funds for processing trade pformation and upgrading, and guided the pformation of more than 10 thousand processing trade with no legal person qualification.

Suzhou has decided to pform and upgrade the ten directions of leading processing enterprises to headquarters economy, producer services, R & D brands, domestic and foreign capital cooperation, industrial agglomeration, internal and external marketing, quality and efficiency, low carbon environmental protection and high-end manufacturing.
