Since the beginning of this year, Quanzhou's textile and garment exports have grown strongly.

Yesterday, the reporter learned from Quanzhou customs that in the first half of this year, our city exported $1 billion 342 million of textile and clothing, an increase of 52.52% compared with the same period last year.

Among them, export clothing and accessories 1 billion 58 million US dollars, an increase of 47.58%; exports of textile yarn, fabrics and products 284 million US dollars, an increase of 74.24%.

According to Quanzhou customs statistics, the European Union, ASEAN and Africa are listed as the top three countries in the major textile and garment exporting countries and regions in China.

The head of Quanzhou customs analyzed that textile and garment exports grew rapidly in the first half of this year, benefiting from the establishment of the ASEAN Free Trade Area and the pulling effect of the "football economy" of the world cup.

Although the export situation is improving, the overall profit level of our textile and garment industry has been reduced due to the increase in labor costs and the rising price of raw materials such as cotton. It is expected that the textile and clothing exports will face greater pressure and challenges in the second half of the year to maintain rapid growth.
