The characteristics of Central Asia, Islam and animal husbandry are still more preserved.
Salar clothing has two characteristics, namely, (1) the Islamic color of clothing; (2) interaction and integration with national costume such as Hui, Tibet and Han.
Salar people live mainly in Qinghai Xunhua, Longhua county and Gansu Jishishan Dahe area, and their settlements are relatively concentrated, so their costumes are relatively uniform.
In terms of color, men are mainly white and black, and taboo for red, yellow and colourful dress. Women, apart from attending religious ceremonies, are colorful and colorful.
