Wei Yongjun, Deputy Secretary General of Hebei Textile Industry Association, said that from the international market, the demand for consumption has gradually improved and the export of textile industry has increased rapidly. In the domestic market, the market demand has been growing steadily and rapidly under the favorable market and policies. In the first half of the year, the output of Hebei velvet yarn, woolen woven fabric, cloth, clothing and chemical fiber pulp reached two digit growth rate, and the increase of non-woven fabrics was as high as 150.64%.

The financial crisis has slowed the expansion of the textile industry and weakened the industry's new investment.

In the first half of this year, Hebei textile industry completed 14 billion 542 million yuan in fixed assets investment, an increase of 9.06% over the previous year, 542 construction projects, 368 new projects, and 213 completion projects, down 13.42%, 27.13% and 25.26% respectively.

But at the same time, the textile industry in Hebei has been quickening its structural adjustment and industrial upgrading step by step, and has been shifting to high-end fields. The development mode has changed from scale expansion to quality and efficiency. In the first half of this year, the output value of new products was 150 million yuan, up 7.64% over the same period last year.
