2010 the national silk clothing design competition aims to enhance the design level and innovation ability of silk products in China, to explore and cultivate silk design talents, to create the independent brand of Chinese silk, to set up a new image of Chinese silk, and to guide silk consumption fashion, expand the domestic silk market and promote the development of China's cocoon and silk industry.

In order to expand the influence of the competition and enable more designers to participate in the event, the competition will be conducted from the bottom up to the two stages, namely, the preliminaries and finals. The qualifying stage will be held in four sub divisions, and the finalists will be selected.
